Minimum Qualifications for Short-Term Observers (STOs) include: Prior experience observing or administering elections, which may include working or volunteering in a polling station as either an observer or administrator. Proven ability to demonstrate cultural understanding and sensitivity and to exercise sound, independent judgment in politically sensitive environments. Excellent health. Ability to work in a stressful environment under field conditions, including long hours over extended periods (day and night). Freedom from concurrent commitments that could produce conflict of interest with the election observation mission. Preparedness to read briefing materials, understand procedural instructions and complete election observation forms accurately. North Macedonia Local Elections Election Date: 19 October 2025 Anticipated Deployment Date: LTOs: 9/11/2025 - 10/26/2025 or 11/8/2025 STOs: 10/14/2025 Status: Amentum SPEO is tentatively recruiting for the upcoming North Macedonia Local Elections, 19 October 2025. LTOs HAVE BEEN SELECTED AND ARE PENDING DEPLOYMENT. Please use vacancy number A) SMKD2025 to apply to be a short-term observer (STO) or B) AMKD2025 to apply to be an alternate, available on short notice. Long-term observer scheduled arrival in Skopje is 11 September, departing on 26 October or 8 November. Only applicants that have served as an STO on at least three EOMs will be considered for LTO positions. Short-term observer deployment duration will be approximately 7 days, not including travel.
