Minimum Qualifications for Short-Term Observers (STOs) include: Prior experience observing or administering elections, which may include working or volunteering in a polling station as either an observer or administrator. Proven ability to demonstrate cultural understanding and sensitivity and to exercise sound, independent judgment in politically sensitive environments. Excellent health. Ability to work in a stressful environment under field conditions, including long hours over extended periods (day and night). Freedom from concurrent commitments that could produce conflict of interest with the election observation mission. Preparedness to read briefing materials, understand procedural instructions and complete election observation forms accurately. Hungary Parliamentary Elections Election Date: 12 April 2026 Anticipated Deployment Date: LTOs: 3/4/2026 STOs: 4/7/2026 (subject to change) Status: Amentum SPEO is tentatively recruiting for the upcoming Parliamentary Elections in Hungary on 12 April 2026. EOM participation and deployment have not been confirmed and is subject to member state authorization. Please use vacancy number A) LHUN2026 to apply to be a long-term observer (LTO) B) SHUN2026 to apply to be a short-term observer (STO) and C) AHUN2026 to apply to be an alternate, available on short notice. Long-term observer anticipated arrival in Budapest is 5 March 2026 with the expected departure date of 19 April 2026. Only applicants that have served as an STO on at least three EOMs will be considered for LTO positions. Short-term observer deployment duration will be approximately 7 days, not including travel.
